The much-loved Kilmovee 5K & 10K Road Races return once again to the heart of the village this Easter Saturday, 4 April 2026 at 12PM. Every year this special event brings together runners, walkers, volunteers, families and supporters from near and far for a day that is about far more than just a race.
Whether you run, jog, walk or cheer from the roadside, the Kilmovee Road Races are a celebration of community spirit, generosity and togetherness.
A New Song for 2026
We're delighted to introduce a brand new Kilmovee Road Races song for 2026 — a rousing, community-spirited anthem celebrating our annual event. From the buzz of anticipation before the starting horn to the steady rhythm of runners taking on the 5K and 10K routes, the song captures the unique atmosphere that makes this event so special.

Running for a Cause
The Kilmovee Road Races are about purpose as much as participation. Each year the event proudly supports two very important causes:
- Kilmovee Shamrocks GAA — Injury Fund — Supporting club players who suffer injuries in official Gaelic Games activities, helping cover medical costs so players can get back on the field.
- Mayo Roscommon Hospice Foundation — Providing specialist palliative care and support for patients and families across Mayo and Roscommon.
Volunteers Needed
To make the day run smoothly, we rely on the incredible support of volunteers from the community. If you're unable to take part in the race this year, you can still play a vital role by helping with course marshalling, baking, or bringing refreshments.
If you would like to volunteer on the day, please get in touch: kilmovee10k.com@gmail.com
Join Us This Easter Saturday
