Kilmovee 5K & 10K Road Races 2026 – Race Day Information
The organising committee of this year’s Kilmovee 5K & 10K Road Races would like to extend a sincere thank you to all participants for registering and for your continued support of this special community event.
Each year, the race continues to grow—not only in numbers, but in spirit. This is made possible by the enthusiasm and commitment of participants like you. By taking part, you are supporting two vital causes: Kilmovee Shamrocks GAA Club Injury Fund and Mayo Roscommon Hospice Foundation. Your involvement truly makes a meaningful difference.
🏃♂️ Race Day Overview (Easter Saturday – 4th April 2026)

⏰ Start Time
- Both races begin at 1:00pm sharp
- The 5K race will start shortly after the 10K (in the opposite direction)
📍 Getting There
- Follow event signage into Kilmovee via the R325
- Key locations:
- Community Centre (F45 PX49)
- GAA Clubhouse (F45 WY80)
🎽 Race Number Collection
- Available from 10:30am at the GAA Clubhouse
- Please attach your race number clearly to the front of your top
🚗 Parking & Transport
- Parking available at the GAA grounds and Community Centre
- A free shuttle bus operates from 11:15am
- Please arrive before 12:45pm due to road closures
🚧 Road Closures
- Closures begin at 12:45pm
- Please allow extra time for arrival and follow steward instructions
💧 During the Race
- Water stations will be available along the route
- Please dispose of bottles responsibly
- If you have any medical conditions, notify staff at check-in
🏁 After the Finish Line
- Collect your water and move through the finish area promptly
- Join us at the Community Centre for:
- Prize presentations
- Food and refreshments
- The renowned Kilmovee hospitality

- Follow all instructions from marshals and safety personnel
- Avoid wearing headphones for safety reasons
