The course

Flat & fast

The course takes in the scenic roads and lanes around Kilmovee village. It is flat throughout with just one short uphill — one of the fastest road race courses in Connacht.

Fully measured

Both the 5K and 10K courses are fully measured and certified. Chip timing is provided by Our Approved Partner, with results available online after the race.

Water stations

Water stations are positioned throughout the course. Please dispose of cups near the stations to help our volunteers keep the route clean.

On the day

Check-in requirement

All participants must present their email confirmation or ticket with a valid QR code at check-in. Please have it ready on your phone or printed before arriving at Race HQ.

Your race number (collected at check-in), appropriate running gear, and your registration confirmation email. No day entries — pre-registration is required.

Got a question?

The 10K race has a minimum age of 13 years. We recommend the 5K for participants under 13. For all participants under 16, a parent or guardian must accompany them. Please use your discretion and ensure younger participants are capable of completing the distance safely.
Absolutely — runners, joggers and walkers of all abilities are welcome on both the 5K and 10K. Come at your own pace and enjoy the day.

Race numbers are collected at race HQ — Kilmovee Shamrocks GAA — Clubhouse (Eircode F45 WY80). Check-in opens at 10:30 AM. The 10K starts at 12:00 PM sharp. The 5K starts at approximately 12:15 PM.
Yes. Water stations are positioned at key points around the course. Additional stations may be added in warm weather. Please dispose of cups near the stations to help our volunteers.
Yes. Toilets are available at both Kilmovee Community Centre and Kilmovee Shamrocks GAA — Clubhouse (Race HQ).
Chip timing is provided by Our Approved Partner and results are typically available online shortly after the race. Full results are posted on this website in the Results section.
Select the relevant option during registration on diidum.com. There is no extra fee for either competition. The McDonnell Shield is open to all teachers and students; the Miyah Kelly NS Challenge is for National Schools only.

Parking is available in Kilmovee village. Signs will be in place on race day to guide you. Follow the R325 into Kilmovee.
